A mid-20th century Iranian (Persian) silver milk jug, Isfahan circa 1940
Pahlavi dynasty, of baluster form upon a spreading collet foot, with an applied wrought S scroll handle. The body with deep chased monabbat-kari shaped cartouches of peonies and trailing foliage populated with birds (golo morph), reserved with shaped vignettes, foliate forms and ring punching. Marked to handle with standard mark (۸۴) and town mark.
