Jabbar Salman is a renowned artist who currently lives and works in Norway. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Baghdad completing his degree in 1969. Since the early 1970s until 1991, he has held various teaching position and has had numerous international exhibitions in the Middle East and Europe. He is known for his depiction of nomads, of which this painting is a particularly fine example.
