Iran, 13th - 14th century
Of fragmentary hexagonal shape, glazed in turquoise, gilt and overglaze painted in black and fainted red, the decoration consisting of a smaller hexagon divided equally into triangular sections, filled with geometric gilt six-pointed stars with fleshy palmette designs to three corners and triangles to the alternate corners, 22.2cm x 11.7cm.
