Opaque pigments heightened with gold on wove paper, the vertical composition depicting a prince clad in a pink gown and burgundy red cap, vest and trousers checking out his appearance in a rectangular mirror held in the hands of an orange-clad maiden, possibly a courtly attendant, the couple standing in front of a white marble building, the scene set within an oval cartouche with vegetal sprays against a bright orange ground on the corners, and the typical Pahari Kangra borders of white and gold floral sprays on a blue ground and red-speckled pink ground, mounted on a taupe cardboard frame, 38.5cm x 33cm including the frame.
