Albumen print panorama in two joined parts, measuring 206 x 531mm, backed with linen and part mounted onto a period album leaf, with an additional view of the Eiffel Tower mounted to card verso.

Gustave Eiffel's tower designed by the architect Stephen Sauvestre and erected by Maurice Koechlin and Emile Nouguier, engineers, is seen right at the centre of this panorama with the Exposition grounds Parisian suburbs stretching away onto the horizon. This view was taken from the Trocadero Palace.
