Painted in bright colours with figures on a veranda overlooking the garden, their faces painted on small ivory plaques, the reverse with birds and blossom on a silver ground, the polychrome lacquered guards with gilt flowers and figures, together with a black lacquer gilt-decorated box, 53cm across.
