Of typical compressed rounded shape, resting on a convex base, rising to narrow shoulders and a straight circular rim, the exterior painted in polychrome enamels with a band of oval miniature portraits of Qajar beaus and ladies, each oval surrounded by a gilt frame and set against a turquoise ground with stylised rosette heads, the base with a composition reminiscent of Chinese porcelain 'famille rose' vessels, with four birds amidst roses, vegetation and ripe grape bunches, the interior white, 10cm diam. and 8.5cm high.
