Each of typical shape, with a tapering cylindrical cane projecting from one side to inhale the smoke, a circular convex base to fill with tobacco rising to a waisted neck with a wide circular rim to get the air in, the exterior decorated with grids of golden sprays, flowers and foliage against a cobalt blue ground and polychrome-painted oval medallions with either Qajar youths or floral blooms with pairs of birds, each 10.5cm long and 5cm high.
