Two early 20th century Iranian (Persian) silver pepper pots, Isfahan circa 1930 mark of Ja’far
Early Pahalvi dynasty, each of cylindrical form with pull off lids, each raised on three ball feet. Each with similar flat chased decoration of vignettes, one infilled with figures the other with birds among foliage (golo morgh), the lids with a band of trailing foliage, with drill pierced tops. Each marked underneath with workshop mark Amal-e Ja'far عمل جعفر (the work of Ja’far). (2)
