An early 20th century Japanese silver bowl, Yokohama circa 1920 by Kurokawa, retailed by Kuhn and Komor (est. 1894)

Taishō period, of rounded circular form with a shaped rim upon a spreading circular foot, the body with embossed Iris pattern against a spot hammered ground. Engraved to lower section of bowl “Shanghai Gun Club, Magu Challenge Cup, Presented by F. Kronenberg won by Lt Col. M Watson”. Double lined interior. Stamped underneath with crane, KUHN & KOMOR, STERLING, and in Japanese Kurokawa-zō (made by Kurokawa).
