An early 20th century Iranian (Persian) silver butter cooler dish, Isfahan circa 1930 signed Nasrullah Mohazzeb
Early Pahlavi dynasty, of square form with applied shaped wire twin handles. The removable square lid with central domed section surmounted by a fluted ovoid finial. The front with an engraved ghalam zani shaped cartouche infilled with couchant camels and a basket and trees, the obverse with stag and dear in woodland, the sides with chased monabbat-kari peony medallions and arabesques, all against trailing foliage. The lid similarly engraved with peony arabesques and foliage interfered with plain bands. The interior with a removable cylindrical silver dish. Signed underneath with Qalam Nasrullah Mohazzeb “the pen of Mohazzab”.
