French Imperial Family, Napoleon III reign (1852-1870)

CARTE DE VISITE ALBUM of 56 IMAGES LARGELY RELATING TO THE FRENCH IMPERIAL FAMILY, including 11 images of Napoleon III (Louis Napoleon Bonaparte, 1808-1873, Emperor of the French, Nephew of Napoleon I), one with his son, the Emperor on his deathbed and a funeral scene, and a family group, then 8 images of his wife EUGÉNIE (née Montijo, 1826-1920) & 5 of their son LOUIS (Eugène Jean Joseph, 1856-1879, Prince Imperial, killed while out with a reconnoitring party at Ulundi, Zululand) followed by 3 relating to his death and burial, his cross by Charles Taylor of Camden Studios and a final image by Ledot Ane of the Prince as a young boy. The album then has 2 photos of Emperor Alexander II by Maull and others including Russian Photographers and Sternitzki and 2 of his wife Maria Alexandrovna, 3 of their daughter Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna and 3 of Empress Maria Feodorovna, consort of Czar Alexander III of whom there are 3 images. The final part of the album has an image of Grand Duke Nicholas Constantinovitch, (1850-1819) by Bergamesco, 1874, and then moves to the Austrian Imperial family with 3 images of Emperor Franz-Joseph of Austria by Angerer and Rabending in Vienna, 2 of his wife Empress Elisabeth, and then 3 of their children, Archduchess Marie Valerie, their youngest daughter with her cousin Marie Larisch and another of Crown Prince Rudolf both by Koller K. Tanar of Budapest, and finally an image of their son Rudolf with his younger sister by Langerer, all mounted in a contemporary album.
