AN EGYPTIAN SERPENTINE COSMETIC VESSEL New Kingdom, Circa 1550 - 1069 B.C In the form of a baboon seated on its haunches, with incised facial features and paws, the forepaws resting on the sides on the cylindrical vessel, 7.7cm high. Provenance: property from a UK collection prior to 1993; Kyros Melas 1995; Private collection of a lady, Rome, acquired prior to 1996.
