AN ANTIQUE KUBA RUG, EAST CAUCASUS approx: 5ft.6in. x 3ft.10in.(168cm. x 117cm.) The ivory field with overall design of diagonal rows of multicoloured flaming palmettes. In hooked bar border between hexagon sunburst palmettes and panelled stripes. Outer barber-pole stripes. This rug has slight wear to the top pile. few small places down to knot collar and below. Slightly corroded black towards one end. cord on selvages fraying in places. Ends with short fringes, secured. in general this rug is in good condition. Very good colour combination and very attractive design.
