Ivor Herne (1916-2000). Mid-century modernist and traditional architecture interest in India and the UK: a portfolio containing a large quantity of high-quality architectural drawings and plans from the mid-1930s to the 1970s covering architectural projects and principles in very fine draughtsmanship on good large format paper, of traditional and modernist styles, plus the artist’s stage set designs, and book plate illustrations, sketches plus a small collection of personal school career photographs. A large portfolio of architectural drawings, dating from c.1935 to c.1970, from undergraduate works through to professionally reproduced drawings plus other drawings and illustrations. . Good penmanship and dialogue between classically inspired and post-war ‘Festival Style’ modernist design and layout / typography.
