An early 20th century Chinese export silver pen tray, Canton circa 1920, by Shan Ji retailed by Wang Hing

Of rectangular form raised on four bracket feet, the galleried sides with pierced decoration of bamboo leaves, the field with engraved and flat chased decoration of cherry blossoms and bamboo. Marked to the reverse with retailer’s mark WH, numeral 90 and artisan mark 善記 (SHAN JI).
