A SMALL CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE JAR AND COVER.

Qing Dynasty, 18th / 19th Century.

Of ovoid form rising to a raised lip with a small indent, the flange of the cover with a corresponding indent, all supported on four short feet, the domed cover with a globular knob, decorated in underglaze blue and famille rose enamels with two figurative panels, and raised fruit form handles borne on scrolling floral patterns, details heightened in gilt, 6cm long. (2)

Provenance: an English private collection acquired in the 1970s.
