A 19TH CENTURY FRENCH BELLE EPOCH GILT BRONZE MANTEL CLOCK GARNITURE, POSSIBLY BY FERDINAND BARBEDIENNE, the clock case surmounted by an urn and anthemion crests and raised on four scrolling feet over a further Neo-Grec style stand modelled as a table with female caryatids at each corner terminating in hoof feet, the twelve piece enamelled dial with Roman numerals, the twin train movement striking on a bell (lacking nut), the ormolu candelabra also in the Neo Grec style, each surmounted by a finial modelled as a spoonbill standing on a sphere, flanked by three scrolling branches modelled as maidens with long curling hair, raised on a vase shaped stems cast with leaping angels and grotesque masks, over three legs with hoof feet,

the clock 42cm high, the candelabra 50cm high (3)
