An early 20th century Chinese Export silver three-piece tea service, Canton circa 1910, retailed by Hone Wo of Hong Kong
Comprising a teapot, milk jug and covered twin handled sugar bowl. Each of egg from, raised upon four ball and claw feet. The teapot and sugar bowl lids surmounted by beaded compressed knop finials. Each with embossed decoration of a Chinese dragon atop of waves, with a vacant circular cartouche formed as the pearl of wisdom. The teapot with curved spout opposite a C scroll handle fitted with ivory insulators pinned to sockets. The mil and sugar with gilt interior. Each marked underneath with retailer’s mark HW (Hong Wu 鸿吳), numerals 90 and artisan mark for canton based workshop Sheng Chang 昌昇 . (3)
