AN EGYPTIAN LIMESTONE VESSEL Late Period, Circa 664 - 332 B.C. The vessel composed of a squat jar, held by a figure of squatting Bes, depicted with a lion's mane, full lips and prominent ears, on an integral base, 7.2cm high. Provenance: UK private collection, acquired prior to 1993; Private collection of a lady, Rome.
