A George III sterling silver gilt babies rattle, London 1796 by Solomon Hougham (reg. 1st Feb 1793)
Bright cut engraved decoration, doubled conical mid-section, with eight bells suspended. Whistle section, a suspension loop. The base with mother of pearl teether. The whistle section with a vacant elliptical cartouche. Marked to teether mount, maker’s mark to whistle section.
