A 19TH CENTURY OTTOMAN MANUSCRIPT - AL JAZULI’S DALAIL AL KHAYRAT

A 19th Century Ottoman Turkey, Al Jazuli’s Dalail Al Khayrat, Arabic manuscript on paper, xxff., plus two flyleaves, each folio with 11ll. of black thuluth script, the opening folio with gold and illuminated heading, the opening bifolio within scrolling foliage and louts flowers, significant words in red, phrase markers of gold rosettes, chapter headings in red on burnished gold and polychrome-illuminated cartouches, marginal markers of floral motifs indicating days of the week and corresponding prayers, in marbled endpapers and gold-tooled dark brown calf binding.

The folio 17cm x 10.7cm, the text panel 11.5cm x 6cm.
