A late 19th / early 20th century Siamese (Thai) silver gilt niello small box, Bangkok or Nakon Sri Thammarat circa 1900
Formed as a mangosteen or pumpkin, a pull off lid surmounted by a finial formed as a stem heightened with enamel. Niello decorated with flame pattern, centred with a rosette to lid and base. Unmarked.
