A FINE EARLY 19TH CENTURY EMPIRE PERIOD GILT BRONZE MANTEL CLOCK DEPICTING HENRI IV, the standing figure wearing a ruffed collar, pointing to a map beside his plumed hat, the clock set in a draped table on four paw feet, the whole raised on a plinth base with laurel wreath mounts centred by an H, the sides with mounts depicting plumed helmets, the front cast in relief with a scene of Henri receiving a kneeling traveller, the white enamelled dial signed 'Gillot a Langres', with Roman numerals, the twin train movement with silk suspension and outside countwheel, with pendulum striking on a bell,
