Persian manuscript on paper, the 5 spaced lines of diwani script in black ink reserved against illuminated gold cloud-bands filled with polychrome-painted floral sprays, set within concentric blue, green, gold, and black rules, the top stamped with the official imperial seal of the Qajar ruler, Muzaffar al-Din Shah (r. 1896 - 1907) in nasta’liq script, contained in a polychrome and gold illuminated quatrefoil medallion dated 1314 AH (1896 AD), bestowing the title of Malek ul-Atteba (the Lord of Physicians) on the physician Mirza Kamal al-Din, son of Mirza Muhammad Kazem Filsoof ad-Dawla, the official document dated Muharram 1317 AH (1899 AD), mounted, glazed and framed, the document 43.5cm x 25cm, 55.5cm x 46cm including the frame.
