GOODWIN, STOWMARKET of typical form, the strapped bell surmounted by an urn finial and supported on four further urn finials flanked by pierced scrolling frets, the Roman dial with a single hand and engraved with a central rose, the weight driven movement with anchor escapement striking on a bell, with pendulum and weight, 38cm high The movement is in working order but not fully tested or guaranteed. William Goodwin of Stowmarket and London is listed in G.H. Baillie as apprenticed in 1675.
