Autograph note in the hand of John Rupert Colville, reading in full "Field Marshal Lord Montgomery bets Jock Colville 10/- to 2/6 that if Ike [Eisenhower] runs in 1956 for the Presidency, he will be elected", signed by both Montgomery and Colville, one page, tall 8vo, 8 December 1954; together with an envelope addressed to 'The Right Hon. Sir Winston Churchill K.G., 10 Downing Street' in Montgomery's hand. (2)
