A Leica M4 "Tim Page" Rangefinder Camera Outfit
Serial No: 1194005 (1967)
Body: heavily rubbed with some cosmetic dings throughout, small losses to leatherette, - a charming patina gained only from heavy professional field use
Shutter: working however speeds inaccurate
Lenses: Leitz 21mm f/3.4 Super-Angulon (2834471) Leitz 35mm f/2 Summicron eight element SAWOO (2274745)
Optics: (2834471) P - cracked rear elements and general dirt and dust throughout, (2274745) G, small mark to rear element, the body heavily worn and focussing stiff
Notes: Camera complete with unnamed 21mm viewfinder and Super-Angulon rear cap. Photographers name engraved by hand onto front rim of Summicron lens and to the rear of camera's top plate.
Tim Page taped over the rear film reminder dial to prevent it catching on his jacket or scarf.
In 2012 Tim Page was voted one of the "100 Most Influential Photographers Of All Time".
Provenance: Gifted by Tim Page to the vendor, Tim Hawkins, a professional photographer and long-time friend and collaborator on several joint projects.
