The present contact sheet shows a number of training exercises undertaken by women in the Republican militia. Highlighted with an orange border is one frame that is strikingly similar to Gerda Taro's portrait of a male and female militia member laughing as they rest in two chairs; the subjects are the same, though Capa's frame is horizontal and more closely cropped.
