Fine album of cartes de visites by various photographers with 1 image of Prince Albert, 3 of Queen Victoria on her own, 1 collage photo of the family and 1 with her grandchildren, the next set shows 4 of Edward VII in Scottish costume and 3 in casual clothes, their wedding photo from 1863, his wife Queen Alexandra, 4 on her own then 4 more with increasing numbers of children, completed with a variety of different subjects including Russian Royalty, comprising a rare carte of Tsarevitch Nicholas Alexandrvitch (1843-1865, Tsarevitch from 1855 until his death), the fiancé of the Princess Dagmar of Denmark who later married his younger brother Alexander III of Russia, a carte of the Princess with her second fiancé. Other images include Prince Arthur of Connaught by Whitlock, Prince Alfred, Alexander III of Russia, Albert Victor and George V as young boys and naval cadets (5), Queen Mary’s mother with her grandchildren and a photo of Shah Naser al-Din (1848-1896, Shah of Persia). 49 images in all in a fine wooden album engraved with swans.
