A LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY ITALIAN PAINTED MIRROR BACK HALL OR CONSOLE TABLE, the gilt floral and scrolling top rail above an oval painted panel bearing an indistinct signature and within a moulded frame, over the foliate carving and gilt swags hanging before an arched and bevelled mirror plate, flanked with narrow arched mirror plates within a border or parallel rope twists punctuated with gilt flowers, the bottom with foliate scrolls to either side and a moulded bottom edge, sitting on a breakfront marble-topped table with rounded corners and a moulded edge, over a frieze carved with harebells and centred with a scrolling gilt carving, with rectangular gilt carvings with repeating pointed leaf motifs above each of the six carved, fluted, tapering legs, all united at the base with curved stretchers that meet beneath a central junction topped with an artichoke finial
