A mid-20th century Iranian (Persian) silver fruit bowl, Tabriz circa 1940
Pahlavi dynasty, of circular dished form raised on four cast and applied ribbed and textured legs. The bowl section with a repousse eight-pointed star with central annulet, edges with a pierced band of interlaced ellipses, the outer rim with pierced foliate scrolls. The body with all over engraved ghalam zani decoration of dense folate scrolls and bold flower heads reserved with striated background. Unmarked.
