A cased mid-20^th century French 950 standard silver novelty table lighter, Paris circa 1940, marked Cartier Société Anonyme

Formed as a street lamp with blue and clear glass panels, pull off cap to top. Screw thread section to lighter well. Maker’s mark S A, la lettre C entre deux croissants/ between two croissants (reg. 4th October 1929). No apparent serial number. Signed to edge Cartier, Paris. Housed in original fitted Cartier presentation case, centrally opening.
