three graduated serpentine sections, with acid etched birds and scrolling acanthus leaves, and wings, on a rectangular base with four scrolling feet. The front with a cartouche engraved with initialled TPS in cursive script. Four retaining nuts deficient. Traces of lacquering. Makers mark underneath, also retailed by Bigelow, Kennard & Co of Boston.
