A NEPALESE GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF AVALOKITA CHITTRAVISHRAMA.

Nepal, 18th Century.

Seated in rajalalitasana, leaning on his left arm, the hand pinching the stem of a blossom supporting a vajra above his left shoulder, the right hand resting on his raised knee, bejewelled with lavish bracelets, arm bands, belt and a necklace set with coral and turquoise beads, the face beneath a tall crown framed by elongated earlobes and rows of curls arranged along the forehead, 15cm H, 1.2kg.
