A CHINESE DOUCAI 'LOTUS POND' BOWL.

With rounded, gently flared body painted with a continuous scene of mandarin ducks flying and swimming among lotus blooms and foliage emerging from the water, all beneath a band of blue dragons encircling the rim, the interior with a central medallion enclosing another pair of ducks on a lotus pond, the rim inscribed with a band of lança script, a six-character seal mark in underglaze blue to the slightly recessed base, 7.5cm H, 16.5cm diameter.
