An early 20th century Iraqi silver and niello compact, Omara circa 1930
Of short cylindrical form. The lid nielloed with a scene of the tomb of Ezra, the sides with the Taq Kasra (Ruins of Ctesiphon), a camel and walker, three dhow sailing boats, a boatman in gufa and a mudhif. The underside engraved BERYL. The interior of lid with a mirror. Signed to the side.
