A CHINESE SILVER-INLAY BRONZE FIGURE OF YAMANTAKA.

13th/14th Century.

Standing in a dynamic pose leaning on his right leg, his right hand rising a sword above his head, the left arranged in karana mudra, his wrathful face with bushy eyebrows above the intensely gazing eyes and mouth lined with fangs, bejewelled with a lobed tiara, necklace, earrings and armbands set with turquoise, coral and lapis lazuli and silver, raised on a modern wood stand, 22cm H, 1401g.
