W. blind stamp, subjects include Sir William Howard Russell (1820-1907), Lord Claud John Hamilton (1843-1925), William Pitt Amherst, 2nd Earl Amherst (1805-1886, styled Viscount Holmesdale 1826-1857), Pietro Neri-Baraldi (1828-1902), Isabella Hill (aka Mrs Howard Paul, 1833-1879), photographers comprise Clarkington & Co (Charles Clarkington, active 1852-1869). Cartes de visite (206), albumen prints, image size, approx. 100 x 75mm, mounted on contemporary album, mount size, 295 x 235mm, all titled in pencil in mount, together with six loose cartes de visite with Clarkington & Co copyright stamp verso, some with photographer's name typed in card lower margin recto.
