Tom Brown’s School-Days, sixth edition, signed and inscribed to half title “Ingram Ford bought this book. The author hopes he won’t regret his purchase and signs his name with all good wishes for Ingram at school and after, Thomas Hughes, Oct 30, 1892”, ownership inscription on front endpaper “at the age of 11 years my mother took me to see judge Hughes who was living in Chester where we lived, Frederick Ingram Ford”, some foxing and toning to preliminaries, green cloth, gilt lettering, corners slightly bumped, browning and foxing to front endpapers with some newspaper clippings affixed to pastedown, 8vo, Macmillan & Co, 1890.
