A SMALL MING-STYLE BRONZE CENSER WITH SINI CALLIGRAPHY
China for the Islamic Export market, late 19th - early 20th century

Of rectangular shape, resting on four bracket feet, with two small handles to the short sides, the long sides engraved with lobed cartouches filled with the first verse of the shahada (لا إله إلا الله - There's no god but God ), the base stamped with a Chinese mark within a square, 5cm x 9cm x 7.2cm.
