With each panel divided into three sections, the top decorated with a quatrefoil cartouche containing figures of boys inlaid with stained bone, the middle section with precious objects and bats in jade and other hardstones, the lowest row with mother-of-pearl decorated characters reading from right to left 智者樂 仁者壽 zhi zhe le, ren zhe shou, the reverse carved and painted with blossoms and qilin against a black ground, each panel 183.5 x 40.5cm.
