Commander of his Majesty’d Ship the Quebec, full margins, John Boydell, 1780; Kettle (Tilly, after) & Earlom (Richard) Richard Kempenfelt Esqr., Boydell, 1782; Reynolds [Sir Joshua, after] Sir George Brydges Rodney, Bart. Admiral of the White, plate no. 419, [Chaloner Smith 1883, p.1760], the British museum contains 13 variations on this portrait by various publishers, this example most closely matches BM 1841,0403.66, Carington Bowles, n.d.; Gibson (T., after) & Faber (J.) The Honble. Sr. Charles Wager Knt., some creasing and glue residue to left-hand corners, trimmed to plate, 1732; Hogarth (William, after) & Nutter (W.) Captn. Thos. Coram, spotting, tear in margin, R. Cribb, 1796; with one other, v.s. (6)
