A VERY FINE SILK QUM RUG OF GARGEN DESIGN, CENTRAL PERSIA, approx: 74cm. x 54cm. Very nicely drawn garden design with very good colour combination. Unusual to have a small rug with this design, more associated with larger piece. This rug has full pile, sofht and shiny silk quality. Very fine weave, approx: 10 x 9 knots per sq.cm; woven on silk warps. Selvages original. Ends fringes, secured. In general this rug is in very good condition throughout. Lovely example for this type.
