A mid-20th century Chinese export silver four-piece tea and coffee service, Hong Kong circa 1940 retailed by Tack Hing
Republican period, comprising a coffee pot, a teapot, a milk jug, a covered twin handled sugar bowl and a pair of sugar tongs. Each of tapering oval form upon a spreading cavetto foot. The pots with D-section handles fitted with turned ivory insulators pinned to sockets. The hinged domed lids surmounted by a knop and ball finial. The bodied with embossed decoration of trailing Chinese dragons with applied protruding wirework whiskers. The sugar tongs with claw grips and engraved decoration of Chinese dragons. Each piece marked TACKHING, MADE IN H.K. STERLING W. (5)
