Five lithographs from ‘The Holy Land, Syria, Idumea, Arabia, Egypt, & Nubia, Cairo, to include: ‘Hermont ancient Hermonthis’, horizontal crease at centre; ‘Temple of Amdda of Hassaya in Nubia’, creasing to edges, ‘Washington DC’ blindstamp to upper edge of mount card; ‘DAKKE, in Nubia’; ‘Temple on Gebel Garabe called Surabit el Khadim’; ‘Ruins called Om El Hamed near Tyre’; all plates in their scarcest form as issued in the subscribers’ edition: coloured by hand, cut to the edge of the image, and mounted on gilt-edged card in imitation of watercolours, some spotting, [Abbey Travel 385 & 272], [1842 -49] (5)
