*** William Hole most likely took the term ‘Arabia the Happie’ from Plutarch, who described it as ‘Arabia, the Happy Garden of the World’. Kitchin’s map is a scarce edition printed jointly by Sayer and Bennett. They had published copies separately as early as 1766.
