AMENDED – A LATE 18TH CENTURY AND LATER ENGLISH MAHOGANY AND MARQUETRY LONGCASE CLOCK the break-arch hood surmounted by three brass eagle and ball finials (later additions), the hood and trunk with Doric columns, the trunk with break-arch panelled door over plinth base, the trunk door decorated with walnut feather banding and Sheraton style urn with flame final, the plinth base with a Sheraton style marquetry roundel, the silvered arched dial with subsidiary seconds dial and date dial, the arch with ‘Strike/Silent’ boss, signed ‘Kenneth Maclennan, London’ (Active London 1776-1825), the eight day, weight driven movement with anchor escapement, with pendulum and two cast lead weights, 215cm high (excluding finials)
The clock was fully restored in the 1990's using original and replacement components, including the case being re-varnished and the dial re-silvered. The finials are later additions
