A late 19^th century Chinese export silver cigarette case, Shanghai circa 1900

Of rectangular form with embossed trailing Chinese dragon among clouds to front, and flowering prunus tree to the reverse, each against a textured ground. The front with a shield shape cartouche engraved with an initial W in gothic script. The interior with retaining sections, where marked with artisan mark.
