Of oblong rectangular shape, the ecru cotton ground block-printed in red, blue, and yellow within black outlines with repeating groups of five sages seated with books and a teapot, a pensive seated couple with wine, inscribed Khayyam, and a maiden pouring wine from a cup into a mystic’s hand, flowering bushes in between the figures, the border with repeating decorative motifs on a red ground, 244cm x 160cm.
